The user administration is done via the directory service (Active Directory).
If the user management is implemented via the directory service, the same password is used as for the login in Windows. If the use of the company login is configured, the button on the login screen can be used. If the login is not possible, the company's internal IT must be contacted.
The user administration takes place in the Q.wiki
After selecting I forgot my password in the login screen, the e-mail address associated with the account can be entered.
If the entered e-mail address matches an account in Q.wiki, an e-mail will be sent to this user (check the spam folder).
The email is valid for 30 minutes and will redirect you to the “Create new password” screen when you click on it.
The requirements for the new password are:
- The password field must be at least 12 characters
- The password must contain at least one capital letter
- The password must contain at least one lowercase letter
- The password must contain at least one number
- The password must contain at least one special character
After successfully setting the password, the account is logged in directly.
It is not possible to use the link again after the password has been actively exchanged and the corresponding message is displayed.
After a successful reset, you will also receive a confirmation e-mail in your e-mail inbox.
