This guide helps you embed a process landscape in Q.wiki or replace an existing one. The steps differ depending on whether the landscape exists as a file page or as an attachment.
Option 1: Process Landscape Exists as a File Page
If your process landscape already exists as a file page in Q.wiki, you'll find the instructions here:
- See Manage External Files (Word, PDF, etc.) for general file management basics
- And Embed and Edit Images for the concrete embedding steps
Option 2: Process Landscape Exists as an Attachment
If the process landscape is stored as a PowerPoint file or similar in the page attachments, follow these steps:
- Download the process landscape from the Additional attachments block to your local computer.
- Edit the file locally according to your needs and save it.
Tip: If you want to display the landscape as an image in Q.wiki, export the edited file as a graphic. To do this, select all in PowerPoint (Ctrl + A), right-click on the selected graphic, and choose Save as Picture…. Save the file as SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) – this format preserves quality and scalability.
- Open the process landscape page in Q.wiki for editing.
- Replace the old file in the Additional attachments block: Click on the current process landscape file and select Replace attachment. Then upload your edited file.
- If the process landscape is already embedded as an image on the page, click on the image and select Replace image to upload the new version.
Good to know: You'll find additional guides under Embed and Edit Images and Create an Image Map.
