  • Always in flow✅ The translation can remain permanently active, allowing you to switch back and forth between different languages without interruption. Q.wiki's automatic language recognition only translates content when necessary.
  • Direct access✅ A simple click on the language icon is all it takes to activate the translation. The current page is immediately translated into the desired target language, optimising workflows and saving time.
  • Focus on the essentials✅ Whether it's page titles or page content, everything essential is reliably translated so that your team can concentrate on the content without being distracted by language issues.

Easy to activate:

  1. Click on the language icon in the top right-hand corner.
  2. Select the desired target language, e.g. ‘Translate to: English’.

Original vs. translation:

  • You can display the original content again at any time by simply opening the language menu and clicking on ‘Show original’.
  • Alternatively, a discreet banner reminds you that you can switch back with a single click when translation is active.

Scalability and efficiency:

The function takes into account whether the original content is already available in the target language and only translates when necessary. This ensures a smooth flow of information and saves unnecessary steps.

Change target language

You can change the desired target language at any time:

  1. Open the language icon
  2. Select ‘Change language’
  3. Select a new target language. The following languages are currently available:
    • German
    • English
    • Dutch
    • French
    • Spanish
    • Portuguese
    • Swedish
    • Polish
    • Czech
    • Italian
    • Bulgarian
    • Serbian
    • Slovak
    • Slovenian
    • Hungarian
    • Romanian
    • Croatian
    • Ukrainian
    • Turkish
    • Chinese

The new language will be used immediately for all further translations.


Limitations

The following elements are currently not translated:

  • Metadata
  • Glossary function (does not work in translation mode)
  • Images
  • Add-on module content
  • Attachments and file pages
  • Overview of subpages

These areas remain visible in their original state.
