Overview
New pages are always created in the status "Draft". Creating new pages is described in the guide Create a new sub-page.
- The status Published is only reached once the approval workflow has been completed for the first time.
- The steps for editing and publishing a draft are the same as for making changes (see the following steps).
Good to know: In the Published status, pages can be read but not edited. To make changes, click the Propose change button to create a new page based on the published version.
Rules for change proposals
- If a change proposal already exists, the button is labeled View change proposal.
- A change proposal can only be edited if approval has not yet been requested.
- Creating a second change proposal is not possible.
- A new change proposal can be created once the current one has been published or discarded.
Edit a page
Open edit mode
Click Edit in the header.
The page opens in edit mode (Editor).
Make changes in the editor
- Write directly in the table, insert images and links, etc.
- You can use the clock icon with the other controls to save changes without leaving edit mode.
- Click the Save or Cancel buttons to exit edit mode.
Request approval
With the new approval workflow
- Expand the approval workflow in the right sidebar (if collapsed).
- Select Submit proposal and click the Submit proposal button to send your proposal to the page owner for review.
- The published version is only replaced by the change proposal once all approvals are complete.
- If you want to remove the change proposal, select Discard and click Change status. Learn more about the approval workflow.
With the old approval workflow
- Select Request approval from the dropdown and click Change status.
- The published version is only replaced by the change proposal once all approvals are complete.
- If you want to remove the change proposal, select Discard change proposal and click Change status. Learn more about the approval workflow.
