Modified on Mon, 12 May at 4:51 PM

This step-by-step guide will help you deploy the Q.wiki Connect browser extension for your organization using Intune as a policy. Please note that the extension is currently only available in Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome.

Preparatory measures (Chrome only)

  1. For Chrome, you must first download the policy templates via the following link: https://dl.google.com/dl/edgedl/chrome/policy/policy_templates.zip.
  2. Import ADMX and ADML files. To do this, navigate to Devices -> Manage Devices -> Configuration -> Import ADMX in Intune. Important: For Chrome, you need the chrome.admx and google.admx files from the template package.

Create a new policy

  1. In Intune, navigate to the following location: Devices -> Manage Devices -> Configuration and select Create.
    • Platform: Windows 10 and later
    • Profile Type: Settings Catalog
    • Name the new policy

    2. Enforce Q.wiki Connect installation via policy and specify add-on ID for Q.wiki Connect

  • Edge: Control which extensions are installed in the background: “gbpjiapcejhebpcahlbaalaofklnobnd”
  • Chrome: Configure the list of apps and applications that are forcibly installed: “ehapebknchbhgklkcghkhmcjgaijhiii”

Example Edge:

3. Set up policies per user or per device as required

4. Assign policy to users or devices

5. Save policy
