Working with the dark mode

Modified on Thu, 2 Apr at 4:22 PM

Dark mode is a useful feature for comfortable working in low-light environments. However, there are some browser compatibility considerations to keep in mind.

Browser compatibility

Not all browsers handle dark mode the same way:

  • Firefox: Works perfectly. No compatibility issues when copying and pasting content.
  • Chromium-based browsers (Chrome, Edge, Brave, etc.): Carry over styling information when you copy and paste. This means: content you copy in day mode will be displayed with a white background in dark mode – and vice versa.
Important: For the best user experience, Firefox is currently recommended if you regularly copy and paste content.

Fix incorrectly displayed content

If content you've copied is already displaying incorrectly in dark mode or day mode (e.g., white text on a white background), you can fix it:

  1. Open edit mode for the affected page.
  2. Select the incorrectly displayed content.
  3. Use the Remove formatting function to delete the styling information.

After saving, the content will be displayed correctly again.
