Paid modules can be created using the Module Generator. A detailed manual with helpful information about creating custom modules is available in the Help Center.
Free module types
You can create the following module types in Q.wiki without changing your subscription:
- Process modules
- Knowledge modules
- Glossary modules
Below you will find the information you need to provide to Support in order to set up a new module.
Process modules
Module name
- Maximum 14 characters without special characters
Rights management
- Who is allowed to view the module and its content?
- Who is allowed to create or edit content in the module?
- Who is allowed to delete content?
Specify either a group or a list of users for each:
- Example for a group:
HRGroup - Example for a list of users: PeterTest, MaxMüller, RainerExample, …
Approval workflow
- No approval workflow: No further information required
- Single-level approval workflow: Specify a group, user, or metadata field of type User
- Two-level approval workflow: Specify a group, user, or metadata field for each level
- Approval Level 1
- Approval Level 2
Metadata
The following metadata are available by default in every process module:
- Content title
- Page owner (if an approval workflow is used)
- Page type
- Scope
- Activated standards from the Standards Assignment module
If additional metadata should be provided, list them in separate lines with field type, properties, and if applicable, content. Example: Customer - Multiple selection with tagging - Customer A, Customer B, Customer C
Available field types:

| Multiple selection with tagging | Selection of one or more values from existing tags. Users can create new tags if they don't exist. |
Knowledge modules
You will find a detailed explanation of knowledge modules on the Knowledge areas page (external).
At the end of that page, you will find a form that will help you configure your knowledge module. You can use this form to send the required configuration of a knowledge module to Support for implementation.

Module name
- Maximum 14 characters without spaces and special characters
Rights management
- Who is allowed to view the module and its content?
- Who is allowed to create or edit content in the module?
- Who is allowed to delete content?
Specify either a group or a list of users for each:

Integration into process modules
- Should glossary terms and roles be displayed underlined in other process modules? (Yes / No)
- If applicable: Provide the names of the process modules where the glossary should be integrated
