Intelligent search function in version 6.18

1. Overview

The intelligent search offers two main features: Quick Search and Advanced Search.


2. Quick search

Opening the Search

  • Via the search field in the left navigation bar.

  • Using the shortcut CTRL + K.

Usability


  1. Search field with the current search term.

  2. Search results display:

    • Title

    • Content type (icon)

    • Preview text (only in Q.wiki Now!)

    • Responsible person

    • Date

    • Status

  3. List of modules including:

    • Name

    • Icon

    • Unit association

    • Module type (either "Cross-unit" or a specific module)

  4. Note at the bottom: Press ESC to close the palette.


Separation of Pages and Add-on Module Elements

  • Choose between “Wiki Content” and other add-on modules.

  • Right Side: 

    • Results list with:

      • Title

      • Preview text (Q.wiki Now! only)

      • Responsible person

      • Date

      • Status

  • Accessing Advanced Search

    • For wiki content: CTRL + SHIFT + F

    • For add-on module content: CTRL + SHIFT + L

Content Covered by Search

  • Pages:

    • All process modules within the unit + all cross-unit modules

  • Add-on Module Elements:

    • All add-on modules within the unit


3. Advanced search

Opening the Search

  • From the quick search by selecting “Advanced Search”.


Usability


  1. Tabs for Pages and Add-on Module Elements
  2. Search results display:
    • Title

    • Preview text (only in Q.wiki Now!)

    • Responsible person

    • Date

    • Status

  3. Left Side: Filters for Units

  4. Unit filter for pages:

    • Unit = all process modules within the unit + all cross-unit modules

    • All = all process modules in the entire system

  5. Unit filter for add-on module elements:

    • Unit = all add-on modules within the unit

    • All = all add-on modules in the entire system


Differences between Q.wiki Now! and Enterprise

Q.wiki Now!: Intelligent search with summaries, synonym recognition, and contextual search

Enterprise:Full-text search only, no summaries, no synonym recognition
