Developing the project roadmap
A well-structured project plan or roadmap is extremely beneficial for the successful implementation of Q.wiki.
The following roadmap has proven to be best practice in numerous implementation projects. The implementation is outlined here as an example for a medium-sized company over a period of six months and can serve as a guide for your own time planning.
You can find the template at the bottom of this page. Please customize the PowerPoint slide to suit your needs. All forms can be edited.
How to set up the roadmap from projectcompletion to projectstart:
- Use the target date as a guide
- Set the final milestone of the project, for example, on the day of the audit
- Plan the roadmap backwards to the start date
- Distinguish between individual entries in project sections for the project team and sections for all employees
Make sure that the right time is chosen for your kick-off so that as many employees as possible are involved and a positive first impression is made.
Now it's your turn. Work with the project team and, if necessary, management to develop a roadmap. Keep in mind that some project phases may take longer than planned.
The introduction of Q.wiki typically has four phases:
Basis: This is where you (the project team) come in!
- Project structure, project team, and goals
- Define project marketing: How and when will you start communicating, and what are your publication channels?
- Set up the process structure
Set the tone: Let's get started!
- Hold the kick-off meeting
- Start internal “Q.wiki marketing”
Involve employees: Get your employees on board!
- Hold process workshops together with someone from the project team
- Train users with Q.wikinger
- Employees start adding content “on their own” (you are not involved in the content, but are available to help)
Consolidate successes:
- Approve content (up to this point, only “drafts” are being worked on. On this day/week, the pages are run through the approval workflow for the first time and are thus given version 1)
- Continue developing Q.wiki: From now on, new content is constantly being worked on and existing content is being improved
