From Q.wiki 6.9
- KeyUsers can change the parent page regardless of the status of the release workflow, so that this can now also be done in the released status. The function can be found in the right-hand menu ribbon:
This opens a dialog box that can be used to reset the parent page:
If the changes have been made to a released page even though a change proposal exists at the same time, the new parent page is automatically adopted for the change proposal.
Until Q.wiki 6.9
There are two ways to assign a new parent page:
- As a key user in the proposed change/draft with subsequent execution of the approval workflow.
Important: Key user rights are required to perform the following steps.
- Open the state of a page corresponding to the available rights
- Open the proposed change of the page as a key user.
- As an admin user, open the approved state of the page.
- Three-Point Menu > Manage Page > Parent Page
- Assign new parent page
- Search will show suggestions starting from the first letters you enter
- Select the corresponding page
- Confirm by clicking on Set new parent.
- If the parent page was changed in the proposed change, the approval workflow must be performed afterwards.
The parent page has influence on the breadcrumb path, but not on the URL (see change technical address (URL)):
