Change/ Create a template in processes webs

Modified on Mon, 10 Jun at 8:46 AM

Templates are used to achieve a uniform structure on the pages in Q.wiki and can be customized individually.

On the Templates page, which can be accessed via the three-dot menu of the respective area in the left-hand ribbon, each individual template can be customized, just like a normal page in Q.wiki.

A new template can be created using the Create new template button.

Note: In most cases, the existing templates are completely sufficient. Too many different templates can lead to confusion for the user when creating new pages.

Edit the generated template in the editor like a normal page. Select the person responsible for the page and save the page. For the document type, you can choose between info page, process description, process overview, work instruction and file page. Creating a new document type requires Modell Aachen support.

Note: Several templates can also exist for one document type.

Once the template has been created, it still has to go through the approval process before it can be used.

The templates are displayed in alphabetical order and can only be influenced by the name of the template.

Special feature structure page: Structure pages are used exclusively in Q.wiki Multisite. They are used to automatically display the global content of a higher-level organizational unit.
