Module Generator: Testing a configuration

You can test a configuration in two ways:

In the list of Configurations under the Administration module in the tool menu – using the Test button.
In the configuration of a module – using the Test configuration button.

What happens during a test?

When you test a configuration, a temporary space is created with the modules that the configuration is based on. This space automatically opens in a new browser tab.

Properties of the test space

The test space has the following characteristics:

Automatic deletion: The space is automatically deleted after 24 hours.
Private: The space and its contents are not visible to other users and do not appear in search. However, you can send links to this space to other users so they can view it.
No emails: Email notifications are not sent.
Workflow rights disabled: Status and transitions from the workflow are disabled. This allows you to test the configuration completely without having to include the necessary roles first.

Important: When you close the browser tab, the test space is completely deleted. When you start another test, a new temporary space is created.
