Content in the Q.wiki can be created as a PDF using the print function in the three-point menu at the top right of the Q.wiki.
The print function of the browser is used for this. The result depends an the web browser used and is constantly being developed further by the manufacturers.
Note: Experience has shown that the Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome web browsers deliver the most adequate printing results.
The following explanations are intended as a guide and may differ or no longer be up-to-date depending on the browser.
Information on browser printing
PDF documents can be created with the browser print. For this purpose, the items Microsoft Print to PDF or Save as PDF can be used.
Using other print settings
Under More settings you can set, for example
- whether the background colors are also printed, which influences the text markings.
- Whether the header and footer are printed with additional information such as page number or print date.
- that the scaling is reduced to print the printout on one page.
- the layout (orientation) from portrait to landscape for wider pages
Adjusting the font of the header and footer
The font of the header and footer can be adjusted via the settings in the browser. It is recommended to change this to 'Arial' so that the font harmonizes better with the font in Q.wiki.
The following is an example of the setting in Firefox.
