Modul Generator: Use templates

The Module Generator allows you to create and use templates. Templates help you set up recurring structures more quickly.

Prerequisites

The template feature must be enabled in the module configuration:

Go to Configure Module > Overview > Miscellaneous Settings
Enable Use templates
Optional: Change the template tab name under Template Tab Name

After enabling the feature, a new tab will appear on the module overview that displays all available templates.

Create a Template

Click the New Template button to create a new template.

Good to know: A template looks identical to a regular content page. Required fields and access restrictions are ignored when creating a template. The Template Name field only exists in templates – you won't need it for regular content.

Use a Template

Via the Template Tab

Select a template from the template tab. Then you can:

Use the template to create a new element
Edit the template
Delete the template

Via "Create New Element"

Click the button to create a new element (e.g., New Meeting). When templates are enabled, a dialog appears where you can create an element with or without a template.
